Our Blind Styles

At Lana Wilson we offer the following blind styles:

Roller Blinds

Made from natural and synthetic fabrics, roller blinds are easily rolled up and down to match the needs of the user. The blinds are available in a number of styles that can mount to your windows in a variety of ways. Economical roller blinds feature external systems that allow the user to see the mounting hardware and all mechanisms of the shade easily. The available stylish options feature cornices, valances or fascias that hide every component in the shade and offer polished appearance. Just like Roman blinds, roller blinds are available in a variety of synthetic and natural fabrics and have additional features like blackout and thermal linings.

Roman Blinds

Roman blinds are the traditional window coverings that manufacturers make from fabric materials like seagrass or jute. The blinds are available in a variety of styles but share one common thing – while raising it, the blind folds into itself, similar to Venetian blinds.

Because the fabric of these blinds continually folds into itself, it makes a larger fabric stack at the top when raised completely. Therefore, even though these blinds provide timeless and beautiful appearance, they will remove part of your window’s viewable space after raising them completely.

The shades are available in unlined and lined versions to match the needs of users. The linings mostly provide additional features, which include thermal and blackout linings.

Venetian Wooden and Aluminium Blinds

Did you know that Venetian aluminium and wooden blinds are the most popular? They boast horizontal slats that attach with strips or strings of cloth, also known as tapes. When raised, the bottom slat presses into the immediate slat above it.

Wood blinds are a good choice for many applications because they offer warmth and natural beauty. They are also available in various strains, colours, and types of wood. The blinds are a strong choice for most homes, but they are not a good choice in areas where moisture and humidity are a concern. Wood expands and contracts naturally with time and therefore wood blinds are more susceptible to cracking, splitting, warping and breaking.

Aluminium blinds, on the other hand, are resistant to moisture and a good choice for humid environments and bathrooms. They are available in a variety of gauges – the thicker blinds are more durable. However, the blinds are noisy and might bother the people in your office or home.

Vertical Blinds

Every vertical blind features individual slats running along a track situated at the blind’s top. And depending on the fashion, vertical blinds open by parting at the middle or from one side to the other. The blinds are a good option for people with patio doors or floor-to-ceiling windows. You can also use them over your small windows.

Duo Blinds

Duo blinds are the most recent addition to roller blind family. Blind companies have brand named it as Vision Blind, Duo Roller Blind, Twist Blind and DuoRol blinds. The innovative window blinds boast two layers of opaque and translucent horizontal striped fabric, which moves independently from one end to the other. Like the traditional roller blinds, the user can operate them fully down (closed) or fully up (open).

When the blind is partially or fully down, the user has the option of aligning it to create a fashionable and stylish stripped effect. Their opaque fabrics will allow filtered light into your rooms and the occupants will clearly see out and inside of the room. You can also cross align the fabrics to benefit from the traditional roller blinds.

Blackout Roller Blinds

For your better relaxation and sleep, you might need to consider blackout roller blinds. The blinds provide complete blackout from unwanted sunlight and incorporate noise reduction. Even more, they include thermal protection, which regulates temperature inside the room. They are available in a variety of styles and patterns.

Duette Blinds

If the traditional hanging blinds do not improve the appearance of your home, duette blinds will fit neatly into the style of your window frame – they combine design and innovation beautifully. With unique honeycomb structures and layers of luxuriant pleated fabrics, the blinds provide superior insulation. Duette blinds will keep your rooms warmer and cooler in the hot months.
